Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Sorbo mobile app and associated services. By creating an account, you agree to these terms in full.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, do not use the service.
1. Who provides the service
Sorbo is a service operated by Jordi Lluis Roses, based in Andorra. Contact email: info@sorbo-app.com.
2. Description of the service
Sorbo is a mobile app for recording and analysing wine tastings. Its main features are:
- Tasting notes with a sensation radar, aromas, and personal score
- A palate profile built from the user's tasting history
- Table Mode: real-time group tasting with an optional AI-assisted blind mode
- Restaurant menu scanner: AI-powered wine ranking tailored to the user's palate
- Wine importer: bulk import from other wine apps via CSV file
- Palate Trainer: personalised AI analysis (Premium plan)
3. Age requirement
Sorbo is a service exclusively for users aged 18 or over. By creating an account, you actively confirm that you meet this requirement. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will delete their account without notice.
4. Account registration
Using Sorbo requires creating an account via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for the security of your account and for all actions carried out through it.
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account within the app. All your data will be erased within 30 days of the request.
5. Freemium model and Premium subscription
Sorbo offers two plans:
Monthly price: €0.99/month for the first 3 months (launch offer), then €1.99/month from the fourth month onward.
Annual price: €17.99/year (fixed price, no introductory offer).
The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Cancellation is managed from your account settings in the App Store or Google Play.
Prices include applicable taxes. Payment is processed directly by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play); Sorbo does not access your payment details.
6. Free plan limits
The free plan is subject to the following limits, enforced on the server:
- Tasting notes: maximum 15 saved in total.
- Menu scanning: not available on the free plan.
- Import: up to 50 wines imported in total (cumulative quota, independent of the tasting note limit). Once 50 wines have been imported cumulatively, a Premium plan is required.
- Table Mode: available as a guest only. Creating and managing rooms requires a Premium plan.
These limits are enforced on the server and cannot be modified from the device.
7. User-generated content
Your tasting notes, scores, aromas, and personal notes belong to you. Sorbo makes no claim of ownership over the content you enter into the app.
By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the service described in these terms.
You are responsible for the content you enter. Illegal, offensive, or third-party rights-infringing content is not permitted.
8. AI-powered features
The Premium features that use artificial intelligence (menu scanning, label reading, Table Mode blind, Palate Trainer) generate results based on language models. These results are indicative and may contain errors or inaccuracies. Sorbo does not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated information and accepts no responsibility for decisions made based on it.
The aromas and characteristics that the AI suggests in Table Mode blind are typical expected aromas for that wine type, not a description of the specific bottle being tasted.
9. Intellectual property
The name Sorbo, the logo, the interface design, the code, and the app's text content are the property of Jordi Lluis Roses and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. Reproducing, distributing, or modifying them without express authorisation is not permitted.
10. Limitation of liability
Sorbo is provided "as is", without guarantees of uninterrupted availability or freedom from errors. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the service.
Sorbo is not responsible for wine purchase decisions made by users based on the app's recommendations.
11. Changes to the service and these terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. If changes affect features you are using under an active subscription, we will give you reasonable advance notice.
When we update these Terms of Service, we will publish the new version on this page with the updated date. If continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the new terms, we will tell you so explicitly.
12. Dispute resolution and governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Principality of Andorra. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the competent courts of Andorra, without prejudice to the rights you may have as a consumer in your country of residence within the European Union.
